I Was Wondering

One or two years ago I thought John said he was working on writing new songs. Then the duets project came about and he was working on it. It was said 4 new songs and now there is only 2 new songs.

So I was wondering, does John have a number of new songs he has wrote and record or needs to record for a latter date???

    Dan, I was thinking the same thing. It would be great if he has a batch of new songs ready for a new CD that we might see in 2014 or 2015.

    I'm working on a new CD. It'll be very much a rock 'n' roll record, more like the beginning of my career. I do love country, but I am a rock 'n' roller.

    These are quotes from two 2010 interviews. And one year later, these plans suddenly changed. I would hope that, from 2007-2013, John has written several new songs... perhaps the best of which are included on Wrote a Song for Everyone, with other to be released later. There's also this, announced in 2010:

    John and Julie Fogerty are also penning a literary project set in a southern swamp.


    Between the new album, 2014 memoir, swampy literary project, Comin' Down the Road documentary, and new album of original material, we fans should expect a wealth of material from John in the future.
