Beverley Angel by James Powell on the Christy label circa 1959
Can anyone (maybe you John) confirm 100% whethe/all members of CCR actually played on this record? Does anyone have a copy of this?
Also there are various stories/rumours regarding John playing sessions on other artists' recordings before CCR/Golliwogs/Tommy Fogerty/Blue Velvets. Anyone know?

Porterville,
I really don't know anything about that record, but I know that the year 1959 was a fantastic
year for music, space and baby girls. PEACE!!!! -

Yes Porterville68, minus Tom, John on guitar, Doug on drums and Stu on piano. The 45 rpm goes for crazy money. I am 100% sure

I have that record but I'm still not sure if any CCR members were involved.
It doesn't sound like anything close to CCR.
It's even different than the Blue Velvets songs.
It's classified under "doo-wop" I think.
If you search a little you will be able to find this one on CD too .

It's awesome that you own the 45, and yes it is classified as Doo-Wop. There is no reason why it would sound like CCR, It wasn't, it was a James Powell song and John, Stu and Doug were studio musicians, a good song in any case. I have been trying for years to get the 45 but I can never get my hands on it for one reason or another. -
